Position Objectives: HSF is looking for a part-time bookkeeper (50% position) starting at 01.09.2024 who
will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial
regulations. Moreover, he/she will support the diverse HSF Jerusalem Team in all tasks related to the field of
project office administration.
Job Description:
• Financial administration of the project office and its project activities.
• Recording day-to-day financial transactions accurately and efficiently with specific software
tools.
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy of financial data.
• Generating financial reports for management review.
• Assisting with payroll processing.
• Obtaining and implementing knowledge on Israeli tax regulations and employment law.
• Implementing the formal requirements and regulations of the HSF HQ, German authorities
and/or external donors.
• Working within a multifaceted diverse environment, including with colleagues in Germany and
other European countries.
These key responsibilities are subject to change. Any changes will be made in consultation with the jobholder
and in line with the nature of the job and its level of responsibilities.
Qualifications Required:
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• English full professional proficiency (spoken and written); knowledge of German and/or Hebrew
and/or Arabic is an asset.
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural, multifaith environment.
• Valid working permit in Israel.
