Head of Ticket Sales and Fan Success

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Head of Ticket Sales and Fan Success with the focus of generating and increasing the number of full season, partial season, single game, and group ticket sales. This individual will also oversee all merchandise sales for Hapoel Jerusalem. Our ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of the ticket sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals. This role demands a leader with a sharp mind and the ability to coach, advise, and motivate sales representatives to create and maintain a high-performance sales force. This person should be an inspiring team leader ready to ensure productivity and quality performance to achieve our long-term company vision by enhancing and increasing new relationship-based sales and fan retention. This position is a full-time job that requires working at the Jerusalem office and arena at least four days a week and attending Hapoel game nights.
Responsibilities
• Lead all ticket sales and operations, lead fan success activities,and oversee merchandise sales and operations.
• Develop sales strategies, procedures, and processes for all sales staff based on best sales practices, reporting, prospecting, and other applicable data-driven guidelines for performance, accountability, and consistency purposes.
• Implement and manage new sales campaigns with direction from the leadership team and various internal stakeholders, including marketing, digital, creative, and analytics.
• Oversee the sales team to ensure Hapoel quotas and standards are met by holding regular check-ins with the team to set objectives and report progress to senior management.
• Train, lead, and develop a sales team, monitoring, supervising, managing, coaching, mentoring, and evaluating sales staff on a continuous basis.
• Execute effective sales calls and presentations promoting the purchase of the available seating products in order to meet established sales objectives and goals.
• Direct sales of all ticket products to a wide range of clientele, including but not limited to basketball fans, non-basketball fans, corporate executives, and business people. Ensure inventory integrity and high levels of service for all seat holders.
• Proactively solicit and follow-up on any personal sales leads and daily calls for new business generation.
• Maintain and produce accurate reports regarding sales, leads, and conversation rates on a regular basis, including fan acquisition costs and fan types.
• Work in conjunction with fellow sales team members to uphold mandates and ethics of the entire department regarding sales and service objectives.
• Participate in events, promotions, client entertainment, and other activities as required.
• Work scheduled shifts during Hapoel games and other required team and/or arena events, activities, or functions as required.
• Provide problem-solving techniques to assist with all fan inquiries and concerns.
• Represent Hapoel Jerusalem in a professional and ethical manner.
• Manage daily activity through the use of a ticketing system database and CRM.
• Collaborate with Hapoel’s Sponsorship and Business Partners department to manage and support ticket sales and inventory management of tickets that were allocated and reserved to sponsors and business partners as part of sponsorship deals.
• Collaborate with Hapoel’s marketing department to launch, manage, and maintain Hapoel’s fan loyalty program based on fan engagement, purchase, and attendance behavior.
Qualifications
• Minimum 7 years of related experience in ticket sales, with progressive revenue and management responsibilities
• Demonstrated history of successful ticket sales experience and leading ticket sales teams.
• Must possess significant experience in working with ticketing systems and CRM (customer relationship management) systems.
• Ability to work with aggressive sales goals and manage several projects concurrently while presenting to leadership performance measurements and KPIs.
• Ability to find opportunities, develop strategies, and develop creative solutions to create new and dynamic ticketing products.
• Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit with a hands-on approach towards business and who can work independently and complete duties and projects with minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to motivate, lead, and bring diverse groups together to work on and complete projects.
• The ability to build relationships through strong outbound call prospecting is required.
• Ability to handle heavy phone volume required, both outbound and inbound.
• Strong fan service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as dictated by events.
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook computer skills.
